God is at Work!

What a great Lord's day we've had! Our men have met for several weeks praying for our church. One thing we've asked God is that He would send 100 people to Waco Family to stay and be part of our church family.

Two weeks ago we had 9 visitors and thanked God for them. We kept praying. Last week we had 13 visitors (8 first timers) and we were bubbling over. We kept praying. Today we had 18 visitors (11 first timers) and the excitement in our folks is electric!

Now what thrills me even more than that is that God is working in people. We have prayed for dead marriages to see God breathe life into them. We have prayed for lost people who God is dealing with. We are seeing people excited about Bible study and our mid-week study - members, guests, even some lost. God is at work in a tangible way among His people.

I have been in church my whole life. I've been in some of the best churches around. But the things that God is doing - the way He's working - is unlike anything I've ever seen before. It's unlike anything I've heard about.

I wish I were doing something so I could write a book. But the truth is that God is working, not me. I mean I am working, but the results are clearly beyond what I could make happen. I preach and God works. The working of God is so sweet and full that I am left with nothing to pray for but their continuance.

Let's continue to pray that God would use WFBC as a tool to accomplish His work.
