  1. Thank you for posting this. I forwarded it on to several friends. While reading the message, I was reminded of an older more mature woman who said to me a few years back. "Do you study history?" I responded with an honest "No, I've never been a fan of studying history." That I said this makes me laugh now and a little embarrassed. Kassian says in her message to know history! My older friend was telling me exactly the same thing. This is very important and profoundly wise, and the implications of this in our lives and worldview are far reaching. If we know history (Bible history, world history, GOD'S HISTORY), we are more likely to rightly judge the times and know what God would have us to do. Kassian references the men of Issachar in 1 Chron 12:32. These men “understood the times and knew what Israel should do.” We, as God's people, must understand the times if we are to rightly and effectively carry out the will of God in our lives and in the world we live.

For all the young girls (and women) in our church, I would like to post a link to a blog that has been especially encouraging to my younger sister and me over the years. It is http://issacharian.com
This name comes from the scripture in 1 Chron 12:32.
Young ladies, if you click on 'daughters' you can read the blog archives to find encouragement for women who are still living at home. I would also like to direct you to a young lady’s testimony that compliments Kassian's message perfectly. The girl came out of this feminist culture and embraced God’s view of femininity and what He would have her to do. You can read it here:
